About - National Science Olympiad (NSO)

National Science Olympiad (NSO) aims to assess the efficiency and proficiency of the students with questions related to Science at both national and international standards every year. Its syllabus mainly comprises of the syllabus of CBSE/ICSE and various State Boards. This exam is entirely based on Science, which provides a big opportunity to the students not only to test their skills but also to sharp them according to the international standards.

Registration of Students

The prospectus containing the Registration Forms of NSO are sent to all the schools registered with the Mindgrownix Foundation.

The schools which are NOT registered with the Foundation may also request for prospectus by sending an e-mail at info@mindgrownix.org or by calling the Foundation on 8650016775. The schools must return the Registration Forms, properly filled in and complete in all respects, by the due date to the Foundation.

Participants of NSO are ranked on the basis of marks obtained in 1st Level. After taking the first level of the test, students can judge themselves academically at four different levels - within the school, at city level, at state level and above all at National level.


About Test Paper

  • The examination is being conducted for all classes from 1st to 12th with the following details.
  • For Classes 1-4: There will be 35 questions and the duration will be of 60 Minutes.
  • For Classes 5-12: There will be 50 questions and the duration will be of 60 Minutes.
  • The questions will be of objective type in nature with multiple choice answers.

Levels of (NSO)

  • Level - 1 All the students of classes 1st to 12th are eligible to take part in Level 1.
  • Level - 2 Top 500 National Olympiad Rank holder’s of first level from each class will compete for the top position in 2nd level examination provided they secure minimum 50% marks.
  • Level - 3 Olympiad 1st Rank Holders of classes 6th to 12st from 2nd level will be eligible for Level 3. Level 3 will be conducted at decided place, India.

    PRIZE & AWARDS FOR (NATIONAL LEVEL) WINNERS
    1st1st Olympiad Exam Rank holder in each class will be awarded with a Cash Prize of Rs. 7,100/- along with a winner’s Trophy.
    2nd2nd Olympiad Exam Rank holder in each class will be awarded with a Cash Prize of Rs. 5,100/- along with a winner’s Trophy.
    3rd3rd Olympiad Exam Rank holder in each class will be awarded with a Cash Prize of Rs. 3,100/- along with a winner’s Trophy.
    4th to 10th4th to 10th Rank holders in each class will be awarded Medals of Excellence.
    11th to 500th11th to 500th Rank holders in each class will be awarded with the topper achievement certificate.
    AllAll the participants will be awarded with the participation Certificate Reflecting their Class/Zonal/Olympiad Ranks and Marks.

    NATIONAL LEVEL

    • 10 Best Principal awards and best Teacher awards:
    • For Principals - ₹ 10,000 + Momento.
    • For Teachers - ₹ 5,000 + Momento.

    DISTRICT LEVEL

    • 20 Best Principal awards and best Teacher awards:
    • For Principals - ₹ 5,000 + Momento.
    • For Teachers - ₹ 21,00 + Momento.
  • Certificates & Reports

    • Student Performance Report (SPR): Every student who appears in Mindgrownix olympiad examination will be provided with a Student Performance Report (SPR). An SPR is a detailed analysis of how the student attempted the exam.
    • Participation certification to each student.
    • Merit / Participation Certificates will be given to all the 2nd Level participants on the basis of their performance.
